Why? What is it? Suspension?
I was looking through old friends facebook pictures to see how they were doing and everything because I was extremely bored. I found that one of my old friends from high school had an album titled, "suspension". Then he had picture of him with hook like things in his upper back and he was off of the ground! Ouch. I am just wondering, what is that for exactly? Some sort of piercing?
That is what I was wondering...if it was even a piercing or for some other reason. And why do they do it suspended? Does it make the piercing different or something?
It's a temporary piercing. Large hooks are placed in the back/knees/shoulders/wherever to suspend the person off the ground. Most people do it just to try it, a lot of people just like the sensation of floating around. I have a friend that does that, more for the shock and awe factor when on tour with conventions. Supposedly, once the initial piercing is done and you're off the ground, the nerves die down and you don't feel much short of swaying around.
