Second Generation Toyota Corolla Sprinter
Toyota has been on top in automobile manufacturing for quite some time now. The Corona and Corolla models started the popularity rise of Toyota in the world of cars. The Corolla was the more compact of the two models that had a smaller engine giving excellent mileage in gasoline consumption. The second generation Corolla would be the topic here, specifically on the Corolla Sprinter. The coupe was offered in Deluxe, SL, SR, and Levin as well as Sprinter variants. As described in the Toyota Corolla story, the second generation Corolla had distinctive styling. It can easily be recognized with its style and shape. The 1973 Sprinter Coupe is really cute, so to say. This model is a favorite of many Corolla enthusiasts.
The second generation Corolla Sprinters came also with larger displacement engines to 1.6 liters with 102 horsepower rating. They were really a brute to reckon with. Many owners of this model got to customizing them. Putting flares on the fenders and installing extra wide low profile tires made them look better. They came out with tough looks almost parallel to the bulldog stance of the Mini Cooper. With this, you will need automotive repair manuals.On a personal opinion, the customized sporty looks of the Sprinter is like a smaller version of the Shelby Mustang. The fastback feature and front view has some likeness, especially at a sudden glance had it not been noticeably smaller.
The Corolla 2-door coupe actually was better known as Sprinter. The second generation had what they termed as "coke-body style" from top view, that is. The distinction of this body style is having more rounded body configurations. The 1973 and 1974 versions of the Sprinter were the most impressive in design and styling. Improved grills made it look tougher. Flared fenders made the coke-style more pronounced. With the 1.6 2T engines and twin cams they would really make you a run for your money when you try racing against it. That engine is not the same for the regular sedans and 2-doors that would only have the 1166cc 3K engine.
In the earlier and succeeding generations, there was none of them that were also known as Sprinter and haynes repair manuals. It was known and became popular with the second generation because of the distinct styling that Toyota made on them. No wonder it was the second best selling car during that period. Corollas were known world-wide as fuel efficient. The 1.2 liter 3K engine was economical but it also had some punch to deliver when needed. As far as I am concerned, the Sprinter for Corolla 2-door coupes stays with the second generation.

don't really care for the engine because i'm planning a project that would involve taking out the engine FOREVER!!! MUHAHAHAHA!!!
and i'm looking for a cheap japanese car RWD (preferably toyota). i was originally thinking supra, but i won't have enough money for it, plus i don't want to try a supra yet because i'm not good enough at what i'm trying to do...yet!

Its $1000 to $8000 top depens the cars conditon.
Stock SR5 is cheaper than the GT-S model. The only difference is their engine since you're taking them out anyway.
But if you want cheap Japanese RWD get 240SX its way cheaper and easier to find. And its very easy to work on.
