What can i do to stop my Horse itching his main and tail out?
I have a horse that has allergies really badly. When he is out in the pasture he rips it right out. In his stall he rubs it partly out on these bars. I'm pretty sure he doesn't have worms or summer itch (i don't really know what its called, but something like it!).
Take a manure sample to your vet to be tested and be totally sure the horse doesn't have worms. Horses get itchy and if there isn't a good place to roll and scratch, rubbing on "stuff" may be a substitute. If you're sure he has allergies, ask your vet what to use to ease the itch.
