Most of people visiting especially masai mara would love to go fishing but they will be forced with the commercial operators to stick on their timings which might not suit the fishing time.The best time for fishing at mfangano island or rusinga island is in the morning from 8 am.How do you attain these when you are on a commercial flight into mara?There are small fixed wing aircrafts 3 seater,5 seater,12 seater and the helicopter which can be chartered for this purpose depart mara at 0730 hrs arrive rusinga or mfangano island 0820 hrs ,a 40 minutes flight fish and have lunch andd depart for masai mara in the afternoon before 3 pm as the weather start building on the shores of lake victoria it it is not good for this single engine aircrafts.These two island are situated on the shores of lake victoria and you can do sight seeing ,scenic safaris and aerial survey & photography.The helicopter will be the based as for mfangano the only aircraft which can landd there is the 3 seater single engine aicraft orelse you be dropped at rusinga island and cross by board .Rusinga island can only accomodate upto 12 seater single engine aircraft with 10 kilos per person luggage.AT these islands you will be able to fish the common tilapia,Kamongo,nile perch,earl .These the best place to be if you are a swimmer and fisher sportsman or sportswoman.The best way to plan is to leave on charter on first day to mfangano ddo fishing and in the afternoon be dropped in the masai mara and fly back on scheduled to Nairobi.Be adviced when planning to these island it should be in group of,3,5,12,15,17,24 and so forth.

should i purchase a kit helicopter?
im interested in buying a new safari kit helicopter for commercial use, would this be a good buy?
its intent would be from aerial feral animal control, agricultural use or touring. personaly i like the specifications on this little beast and the safety record is great, 149K new + 800 hours assembly
I suspect you will find that kits will be authorized in the "Experimental" Category, thus "Commercial Use" will be difficult, at least for passenger use. Check the resistrictions on use prior to your final decision....you do need to know how to build it as well. Join the EAA http://eaa.org
