Staggered Corvette Wheels Explained
A set of new staggered Corvette wheels can really give your sports car a distinct look and even improve performance. There are a number of different forged wheels that can be fitted in a staggered setup, but the type that will provide the biggest performance increase are forged monoblock wheels. How much does it cost to replace rear wheel cylinders?
i have a p reg ford escort and recently my brakes have packed in. the exact problem is the rear wheel cylinders (so i have been told). and as i have been driving my car like this, the fluid has leaked all over the rear brake shoes which means that they need to be replaced too. i have been quoted £140 in one place and £60 in another. these were only phone estimates as i have not taken the car in yet.
what is a good price to get this work done so that i can have a rough idea and not get ripped off!!!
For seals only (not new cylinders) and shoes I would say sixty pounds is cheap when you take into account labour prices. The higher price may be from a garage that has higher rates (dealers for example) or they may be quoting for new brake cylinders rather than just seals. I paid seventy pounds to have the shoes and seals replaced on my 1998 escort last year at a local independent garage. The local Ford dealer quoted my one hundred and seventy pounds for the same job.
