A Monitor Wall Mount for My Non-Profit
I have a specific way of doing things with a vision in mind. And when I want something, I work really hard to get it. I've noticed that my unemployed clientele seem bored as they're waiting for their appointments. They sit there in the reception area with blank stares on their faces, bored. So I had an idea, I could try to get some funding and maybe I could purchase a monitor wall mount and hang a computer screen which would share educational media about finding a job. We're a non-profit and budgeting is already tight. If I was going to do this, I needed extra funds. And getting funds is the hardest part about running my organization.
I instantly put the funding request on my company website under the Help Us tab. I added this to our needs list, hoping someone would respond. Initially, no one responded. So after a week, I got more aggressive. My best friend is in marketing and she told me to mention this in my blog post for the week. So I wrote a very compelling post about what the Center does to help the unemployed find jobs and what we could be doing to make them more successful.
A monitor wall mount would give me the accessibility to passively reach an audience with tips and information to improve their job search. Whether you realize it or not, background noise does affect you. So watching or listening to a video is extra noise that subconsciously gets soaked up. Then it gets reiterated in their appointment, driving the point home even further.
Once the blog post was live, I put it on Facebook, Twitter, and even included a link in our weekly email newsletter to our supporters. And by the second week, I had enough cash on hand to get the wall mount along with multi monitor mounts and monitor desk mounts for my staff. They have very little desk space so the multi monitor mounts help declutter their work space.
When they arrived, my husband even helped install the monitor desk mounts for our staff. One of my clients, who happens to be a handy man, installed the wall mount in the reception area. When everything was finished and installed, I was so grateful for all the donations. I took pictures and wrote another blog expressing my gratitude.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised. If you want something in life and you work for it, you'll eventually get it. Even when times seem too difficult to even think about moving forward, there is always light at the end of that dark tunnel.

Whats better for street unicycling, smaller seat post or a taller seat post?
I have been using a Nimbus X street and I feel like my post is kind of high, I'm learning how to 180 uni spin and I've done it once, I'm also learning how to 180 jump mount. For these tricks, whats better, a smaller(lower) seat post, or a taller one(but not that tall)?
If you can feel it getting in your way then lower it. For unispins and jump mounts you would probably be better off with having it lower than higher so that you don't have to worry about the accuracy as much.
But it's not that big of a deal to lower a seatpost, its just an allen key and you can change it anytime you like.
