I know they do this for every ones own good just in case an investigation is opened on shady maintenance thanks for your answers everyone please include references
Doesn't exist. Also, TM's, FM's are "guides" not regulations that have to be adhered to verbatim or as in the letter of the law. Now a time to stop working due to what you are talking about is a call on the unit and there is no regulation that covers that. When I was in we had MP's that wanted to stop working LE long before they ETS'd because, "but Gee Sergeant, I could bust someone with five million pounds of heroin on my last day then I'd be stuck here waiting for the case to go to trial." or Traffic court or a court martial... Horse Hooey, you work up until the last day your unit says your no longer needed and that's about it in a nutshell. If you screw up bad enough they'll call you back anyway and you could have done something a year ago that will come back to bite you in the butt five years from now.
