Over Speed
Nyone experiencing very slooow speeds this Sunday?
MTNL are experimenting for 04/011 they are offering all unlimited user speed upto 2mbps on sundays ...they have also increased their upload speed for all users from 256kbps to 512kbps.the dsl modem router shows the increase in upload download speed ...but when u run speedtest....does not show any difference.
How did u login to the dsl modem? username & password- admin & admin do not work.
Ok, forget speedtest when I do an actual download I am getting download speed of 64kbps.

Secondly, I did a specific test on bittorrent only & it appears u r right about bittorrent part, I got speeds of 1.8mbps i.e. approx. 2mbps.
BUT, I am not a bittorent user I don't remember the last time I used it.As I said earlier I download from rapidshare,hotfile,etc..
Just bcoz MTNL has increased speed for bittorent traffic(on bittorent ports only)

why do people keep driving over the speed limit when gas is expensive?
I've tried to save gas by keeping the speed under 60miles p/h
but the majority of locals keep driving over 70 miles p/h
on the 65 speed limit freeways. What really sucks is that these cars sort of push you to their speed.
I've noticed this too & have also tried doing the same thing, such as using cruise control in town, but it's not really safe, is it?! Most of the problem is force of habit, esp. in the South where everyone drives like important jerks. Hey, I grew up in this driving environment & have tended to drive like this most of my driving life. But then I lived up in the Midwest for a few years, & people just do NOT tend to drive nearly as aggressive or fast. It's gonna be hard to change this behavior, but I've been waiting to see if maybe these gas prices will make people change their mind... so far I'm seeing little change. Aside from a smaller vehicle, I'm already thinking of getting one of those new gas gadgets that help you monitor your speed. They look like they kinda work similar to a radar detector.
Otherwise, I guess all we can do is just stay out of the speeders' way & just try to drive slower! I've also noticed they're NOT just the expensive vehicle driving types, there are plenty of non-rich fast driving idiots out there, so that previous statement about them being rich is inaccurate.
