Houses for Sale Bahamas on the Outer Islands
There are lots of HOUSES FOR SALE BAHAMAS in the region and there are also some beautiful islands which can be visited whilst taking a break looking for the perfect property.
The Berry Islands are part of what is called the Out Islands of the Bahamas and there is thirty small islands which makes the region up, there are also over a hundred smaller islands known as cays which make the chain up, the largest of all the islands is Great Habour Cay. This part of the Bahamas is not very populated and there is only a population of about 700 most of these reside on Great Harbour Cay as most of the other islands and cays remain largely untouched and undiscovered the islands are perfect for those fishing, sailing or diving enthusiasts and for the many holiday makers which visit here it is perfect for a very relaxing reenergizing holiday with plenty of activities to take part in. The islands do not have their own airport and are mostly unfinished. They are more often that not – owned by a single individual as a second home. The main activity which is most popular on the Berry Islands is fishing particularly Game Fishing, and when a fisher has caught a fish it is up to them whether they eat the fish that has been caught or whether they want to throw them back into the water so that they can help the fish population big game fish are usually things like Tuna and Billfish.
Bimini, another out island is known by fishermen as the deep sea fishing capital of the world and can be fished for far more than just general fish as Crawfish such as lobster can be caught here. Bimini has a lot of activities and more than most of the Out Islands, it is situated next to an underwater cliff. The American Author and Journalist– Ernest Hemmingway was a regular visit to the island of Bimini after he docked his boat for the first time in the 1930's it was said that he fell in love with the island. He got into the Bimini way of life by making the most of all activities there, it is said he would swim off the beach, go snorkelling and join the locals with game fishing the lifestyle on the island is that of laid-back relaxed and Ernest Hemmingway fell into this way whenever he visited, Not a lot has changed since the time that Hemmingway would visit as the visitors today tend to do the same things, also being sure to make time to relax and take advantage of the beautiful beaches and stunning scenery.

MySQL variant of Oracle (+) sign for outer join?
Hi,
in oracle, if you want to outer join a table, you simply say:
"select * from t1,t2 where t1.id = t2.id(+)"
Now, how do I do this in MySQL?
I know that it can be done by the more complex "select ... join outer left/right ...", but I was wondering if there was not just a (+) variant in MySQL.
Thanks
Note: obv I did try just using the (+) sign, but that wont work
To my knowledge, no other RDBMS uses the "(+)", or any variant of it, that Oracle used to use. I would not consider the ANSI standard explicit join to be "more complex". In fact, I would consider it much simpler than Oracle's "(+)" syntax once you've gotten used to it.
I've worked in DB2, SQLServer, and Oracle, and I've only seen anything remotely like "(+)" in Oracle.
Oralce's "(+)" syntax dates back to the 8i version. Back then, Oracle could not use the ANSI 92 standard syntax for outer joins. They had that crazy "(+)" syntax instead.
It's the one of two things about Oracle I truly dislike. (The other being "three value logic" ... I'd like to smack the guy who thought THAT was a good idea!)
Anyway, since version 9i, Oracle has been able to use the ANSI 92 standard join used by MySQL, SQLServer, DB2, and pretty much everyone else.
Your example from above would read this way:
SELECT
*
FROM
t1
LEFT JOIN
t2
ON (t1.id = t2.id)
"LEFT JOIN" basically means "Give me all rows from the table to the left of the join statement (i.e. t1), whether there is a match in the other table (t2) or not."
Also, note that the join condition is in the "FROM" clause, not in the "WHERE" clause.
This allows you do do some things that the "(+)" simply won't allow. For instance, you can outer join a table to MORE THAN ONE other table.
Yeah!! That got your attention, didn't it?!?!
This is perfectly valid syntax:
SELECT
t1.id
, t2.description
, t3.order_number
FROM
t1
LEFT JOIN
t2
ON (t1.id = t2.id)
LEFT JOIN
t3
ON (t1.id = t3.id1 and t2.id = t3.id2)
Yeah!! Can't do that with your "(+)" syntax, can you?
You can also do "FULL OUTER JOIN".
SELECT
t1.id
, t2.id
from
ti
FULL OUTER JOIN
t2
on (t1.id = t2.id)
will give you every row from t1 and from t2, whether they match a row in the other table or not. Where they DO match a row from the other table, then the rows will come back matched in the result set.
This syntax is much more flexible. And as I said, it works in every version of Oracle from 9i on, and in pretty much every other relational database. I never use the "(+)" syntax anymore.
