Can you powder coat galvanized sheet metal?
For some fussy provincial laws on building custom bikes, I need to fab up a chain guard. Don't want to spend the big bucks on having anything done up on a cnc or waterjet (it'll probably come off and stay off once I have to service the chain the 1st time anyways), so I figured I'd make my own out of some sheetmetal, but I figured if it's thin sheetmetal, galvanized might be better to not pit up from stone chips and have rust dots... and I happen to have lots of old galvanized sheet metal at my disposal. I'm going to just make my own design with a scroll saw.
Will powdercoat adhere to galvanized sheet metal or just run off like most other paints do? Can get my powdercoating done for free, so I hope it will. Thanks

it should shaun,was powdercoating picnic tables for provincial parks while i was inside,and they were made out of galvanized tubing,they only thing you would have to watch out for is the flex in the tin,p/c isnt very flexible,might chip off.
