Anyone who has a bike rider in the family or is passionate about biking can assess the importance of motorcycle accessories. Having the right kit is essential for keeping safe, staying warm and staying focused – and it does not hurt in the slightest, of course, when it also looks stylish. And don't forget to look for wild paint designs that look like someone just dropped the 1980s on your bike-mad loved one's head.
Motorcycle accessories for feet should be flexible as well as tough, to allow plenty of play for ankles and feet. Too rigid and a rider can break bones in a fall. You want to see good grips on the soles, and a burn pad on the inside leg to stop exhaust heat causing a problem. Gloves should again be flexible, well reinforced and with enough play around the wrist to prevent a break due to stiffening.
Look for extra body armour to pad out the jacket – in particular, Kevlar and graphite skeletons for the back and upper body. These inserts fit inside the motor cycle jacket and give a rider extra protection for the most vulnerable bones and parts of his or her body.
All motorcycle accessories work on the same principle as other extreme sports kit. To a degree, that is, you get what you pay for. Do not be tempted to go cheap. The safety of your loved bike enthusiast comes first so getting the best motorcycle accessories is the priority.
