There is something else going on in the flight training and aviation industry. Everyday, I am hearing about new training facilities opening in Canada for pilots. That is some of the larger news in the aviation industry, however, the vast research in aviation in the past 30 years has really erupted a surge in excitement for flight simulator games. There are also plenty of claims that pilots are actually doing their rookie flying exercises on the newest flight simulator; Pro Flight Simulator.

Let's take a step back in history, Apple II constructed the very first flight training console in the AFS II; this DOS program had a few dials and readings on it with a background that resembled the asteroids game for the ATARI. I have been playing MS and online flight sim games for over fifteen years now. I was there when Microsoft released the first flight simulator and I had to buy a new computer to run it! Now, in this area of my article, I am not trying to step on any toes! I am just going to point out a few facts about these two products.

The real thing to take into consideration is that these are two totally different areas. Don't get me wrong, real flight simulation and flight simulation games are becoming much more similar, but flight simulators offer a much more dynamic flight experience. Microsoft has added several features to the 2004 edition of their flight sim, but it's still ages behind Pro Flight Simulator.

How can I make a separate logbook in Flight Simulator X?

Listen, I know that this the aviation section for real airplanes, but I figure that most people who fly Flight Simulator X are in this section. So, is there a way in Flight Simulator X to make separate logbooks like you could in Flight Simulator 2004? And yes, I do take real flying lessons.

why would flight simulator people try to answer questions about real airplanes? I think you would get more answers in the gaming section. But, you are always welcome to try. Did you have any questions about your real flying lessons? Does that have anything to do with your video game question?
