Lancer Evolution - An Overview
If you are looking for a Lancer Evolution for sale and want to find out more about the car first, it is important to investigate and collect all the information that you need to know before buying your dream car. The lancer evolution is also called the lancer EVO and came out in October of 1992. First, Mitsubishi made 2,500 of the lancer evolutions, which sold out within 3 days, meaning this car was a very popular car from the start. The original lancer and the lancer evolution are very different in the making; the lancer evolution was made with improvements to the fuel injection, turbo, and the engine internals. The front mounted intercooler was made larger to help cool the engine much faster and it also included its own water spray system as well. These changed gave the lancer an extra 10bhp, however, the car is capable of producing much more power. The GSR version is a more focused version of the car and comes with leather Recaro seats, air conditioning, Momo steering wheel, anti lock brake system, tinted glass, electric windows and mirrors, and a six speaker car audio system.
The lancer evolution has a turbocharged engine and a four-wheel drive system, which usually attracts younger drivers. The reinforced platform offers additional safety attributes to the driver, which is needed for a vehicle that is as powerful as the lancer evolution. The hood, roof, front fenders, and front bumper beam are all aluminum. The windshield washer fluid tank and battery are mounted in the trunk for better weight distribution when driving in this car. The lancer evolution also has Active Stability Control (ASC), which constantly monitors the traction between road and the tires; if there is any loss of control or slippage the ASC will alert the control unit, which then applies the brakes on certain wheels to help keep the vehicle moving in the direction the driver intends to move. The lancer evolution is also equipped with airbags that are not usually on ordinary vehicles. In addition to standard airbags, the lancer evolution also has six other standard airbags, such as the airbag under the driver's dash for your knees and legs if a certain frontal collision may occur that could damage these parts of your body.

The anti-theft alarm system that this car has is a brilliantly engineered, tough, integrated anti-theft alarm system with an immobilizer key to protect your car. All of these things are just some of the wonderful features you will have when purchasing the lancer evolution. A brand new lancer evolution could cost around $34,000; however, a used one can cost $25,000, $14,000, and even lower depending on the year, miles, and dealer or private party seller that is selling the vehicle.
