LIPOSUCTION: If I went for lipo, then would the other fat cells in my body be used faster if I do exercise?
Theoretically, yes they would. However, you have to be very very careful with liposuction. Firstly, it's an unnecessary operation (in most cases) so it can have many complications - such a seepage, infections and other nasty things! Secondly, you might end up putting on the same fat that you lost in liposuction on a different place in your body. Let me explain:
Your body needs to store fat, as it a survival mechanism. Our ancestors would store fat in times of plenty, and use the fat in times of scarcity. However, in modern society, as we never go through times of scarcity, our survival mechanism has become- well.... redundant! We always have food, so there is no need for fat and we have not evolved to counter this fact yet.
As such, we have a pretty developed system geared towards fat storage. This means that our bodies will judge how much energy we use everyday and the excess we need to store. In storage terms, we don't have a capacity - our body will keep on producing fat cells if we steadily increase the excess energy in our bodies.
In regards to liposuction, you are unnaturally riding yourself of fat that your body thinks you need. As such, all your other systems in your body are still geared towards fat storage - even though you have technically removed the stored fat cells in a certain area. From this point onwards, all your body would like to do is to get back to the same amount of fat you had before the surgery.
