How To Keep Your Child Safe In A Buggy Or Pushchair
Safety concerns are vital when buying a pram or buggy. Injuries can be caused by your toddler falling out of the stroller when it tips over or by fingers getting trapped and pinched, roughly 1000 toddlers are taken to Casualty each year because of injuries while in prams and pushchairs. Even though proportionally this figure is low compared to the number of pushchairs being used, you don't want your little one or toddler to be one of these. These tips should help your toddler to be safe while riding in a buggy.
1. To start with get an appropriate buggy.
The most vital aspect is to make sure that it's stable so it is unlikely to tip over. Find a stroller or buggy with a wide base and back wheels that are set backfrom where your youngster sits. A shopping basket beneath the seat is also of use, things placed here will reduce the centre of gravity and contribute to the stability. Good brakes are vital, and brakes that work on two wheels instead of just one are safer.
2. Take care when you use the buggy
A good number of injuries to fingers take place when folding and unfolding the buggy , so make sure you keep your fingers and your child's fingers away from the latching devices as you manipulate the pushchair. Also always check that the latches are secure before you put your toddler in the buggy so it is won't fold up and trap your toddler's fingers.
Use the safety belt to fasten your child into the buggy. You wouldn't permit a child to be in a car with no seatbelt - to prevent injuries it's as crucial that the child isn't allowed to jump around in a pushchair. Some pramettes e.g. have a distinctive toddler harness that will allow your child to sit up and move around while being safely strapped in.
Be careful how you load up the pushchair. Hanging shopping bags and handbags from the handles will compromise the buggy's stability and could even make it tip over - use the under-seat storage tray instead. Take care not to overload the pushchair.
Always utilize the brakes whenever you leave the buggy, even when it's only for a minute, and especially on a gradient.
3. Maintain the buggy properly
Check the brakes and tyre pressures regularly.. Look for any joints that have worked loose or dangerously sharp edges that have developed, and check the wheels haven't become loose. If you come across any unsafe areas get them fixed quickly and don't use the stroller until it's fixed.
4. Educate your child to sit still in the buggy and not lean out.

Is it possible to turn my nitro rc tourer into a buggy by just changing the wheels?
i am bored of a tourer so i decided to get a buggy so that i can play off-road. Has anyone done this before or anyone knows if this can be done?
you have to change the entire suspension then the wheels but first check the torque to see if it can be done...most touring cars are build for speed not for torque
