How To Make Catfish Jug Lines
This is a simple and easy way to get started juggin' for cats.
Take a twenty ounce soda bottle and make a few short sprays with some paint down inside the bottle. Screw the lid on and roll the bottle around to coat the inside with paint. This will make them easier to see from a distance.
Now cut a three foot piece of number nine braided nylon twine. Make sure you use braided line because the twisted kind won't hold up.
Tie the twine to the neck of the bottle using a slip knot and pull it tight. Now take a 7/0 Eagle Claw L197F circle hook and attach it to the other end using a Palomar knot. Once your hook is secure go a few inches above the hook and crimp on a small split shot weight, and make sure it is good and tight. You now know how to make catfish jug lines.
