BMW Mini The Right Stereo Dash Kit For 17 PIN Models
Radio dash kits are trade mark features of all car manufacturers and the variations that every manufacturer gives play an important role in the success of the car and to increase the value of the car and even to increase the sales of the product. The radio dash kit of every BMW mini, like all BMW manufactured cars, has the following components. First of those components is given to be the fascia panel. The design of fascia panel is important as it is the component that is visible in the interior of the car. The fascia panel is usually a rectangular hollow panel that is used to enclose the stereo of the car. The design, colour, texture, contour and the fitting posture of the fascia panel give the best look to the stereo panel. The other component that is mandatory supplement of the radio dash kit is the adaptor.
The BMW mini with 17 pins has two main adaptors that are used. First is the aerial adaptor which is used to fix the aerial frequencies. The quality of the air sent frequencies that are to be received by the stereo is dependant upon the aerial adaptor efficiency. The other adaptor is ISO harness adaptor. This is a tested adaptor that is used for the control of the flowing frequencies and gives a single frequency output in the stereo of the car. The aerial adaptor consists of a number of wires which are interconnected between two sockets one of which is the receiver of the frequencies and the other transmits the output to the stereo. The ISO harness adaptor, though functions similar to that of the aerial adaptor is different in structure and design. There are various manufacturers who manufacture the adaptors separately, so that when the costumer needs a particular component such as the adaptor, the costumer can contact the manufacturers for buying the product. The aerial adaptor pins are provided with dins that are used to cover the aerial adaptor and to convert the frequencies into feasible output to the stereo. The dins can be highly useful to obtain better product quality and give longer life to the adaptor. The recommended numbers of pins that are required for BMW mini 2001 to 2007 are given to be 17. The structure of 17 pin and the 40 pin can vary significantly and the fact that the quality differences are not due to number of pins but due to the structure of the pins. The 17 pin system has the pin sockets all in one side and this converts the manufacture flaws in the product to be released to the market into flawless transmission of signals. The quality and effectiveness of the pin system depends on the manufacturer of the radio dash kit.

the Mazda would be more fun due to the fact that its a convertible and a rear wheel drive. Although the mini does have a convertible as well ... the MX5 has a factory hard top too.
