7 Conversation Starters
You are sitting at the table staring into a lovely set of eyes and it happens.
Your mind goes blank. Every sensible and intelligent thing you could converse about is lost and you grope for some meaningful utterance to inject into the conversation.
The longer you sit there, the more silent the restaurant seems to grow, until it seems like the whole place is hanging there waiting for you to say something…anything…just one word even.
The first date conversation lull can strike at anytime and it happens to us all. You can avoid its occurrence if you arm yourself with a few surefire conversation starters.
These conversation starters are not just a great way to keep the date from growing too silent. They are also geared at helping you to get to know the person sitting across the table from you and to help you to make sure you don't spend the whole date just talking about yourself.
Conversation Starter #1:
Talk about the person you are with. People love to talk about themselves. If you ask the right questions you will find out a lot about your date and your date will think you are a charming conversationalist. Ask them if they have always lived in the town they now live in. Ask if they would like to live somewhere else. Ask them about their family. Find out if they live near by and if they all get along. Find out what they do for fun or what they like to do when they are under stress. Ask your date about their childhood. Did they like school? What was the name of their favorite teacher? Each personal question can lead to more questions, so the conversation potential is limitless.
Conversation Starter # 2:
Talk about likes and dislikes. This can include the old standards like what is your favorite food, what type of movies do you like, or who is your favorite author, but the questions shouldn't end there. If your date says that they like comedies, ask them why they like comedies over dramas. Ask them what actor they would like to see cast in a comedy. Ask them how often they go to the movies. Let the answers your date gives guide you in asking deeper questions.
Conversation Starter #3:
Ask about the area. Ask your date if they have visited some local venue. It can be anywhere from the library, a park, a certain store, a theater, a restaurant, or a museum. If your date tells you they recently went to a local restaurant opening ask them what they liked most about the place. Ask them about the food they ate and the décor. This can be a great way to figure out where you might want to go for a second date!
Conversation Starter #4:
Talk about work. Ask your date how they chose their line of work and what they like best about it. Find out if they think they will be in the same career field in ten years. Ask them what advice they would give to a young person wanting to enter their career field. Work takes up a large percentage of our lives, so it is a natural thing to talk about on a date.
Conversation Starter # 5: Get hypothetical. Ask your date a lot of what if questions. These can range from what you would do if you had a million dollars to what person in history you would most like to meet. The only limit to these conversation starting questions is your imagination.
Conversation Starter #6:
Talk about current events. While it isn't a great idea to debate politics on a first date, mentioning a headline that you read in the paper that morning and asking your date's opinion is a great way to have an interesting conversation and learn a little bit about your dates world view.
Conversation Starter #7:
Talk about where you are. When all else fails talk about the restaurant. Ask your date if they have been their before. Ask them what they think of the menu or even what secret ingredients they think are in the dish they ordered. If the place has a wine list, ask them to look over it and tell you about the different types of wine that they enjoy. Life Application 1. Write down ten things that you want to learn about your date. Don't take this list with you on your date, but read over it enough ahead of time so that you are familiar with the questions you would like to ask.
2. Have a practice run. Enter into a conversation with a stranger and practice asking interesting questions. If you are at a store, ask someone where they purchased a particular item. Ask a stranger's opinion about something you want to buy and then practice keeping the conversation going. Happy Dating!

I have removed the body from a 87 YJ and some of the body bolts broke off how do i get to the nut in the body.
When removing the body from the frame of the 1987 Jeep YJ some bolts broke off some threadded brackets in the body came loose, is there a way to get to the bracket that holds the body to the frame.
Has anyone had this problem?
Frame has a 4" lift and i am installing LT130 engine and a 4L60E trans using a Novac conversion have installed a Jeep 321 transfer case.
Frame was cleaned and painted complete with Por15 rust proofing and frame paint over the POR15.
Frame lift consists of new springs, new shocks new sway bar extended arms, new tracking bar bracketes, and a 4" droped pitman arm.
New emergency brake cables and steel braded brake lines replaced the rubber lines
drill ,and easy out., and new studs.
or drill bigger hole and make new thread by tapping.
or arc(or m.i.g.) welding the bracket to body
or make a go through hole and put a cross through bolt and nut
