Extracurricular Activities in Students Life. Main Tips on Them

Extracurricular activities are not only that creative work you  are making at school after your main course but also the things you do with your family or at the community. They are not paid but still give you a life experience and make your life more bright and interesting. You can be a volunteer or it could be your hobby. You can be alone or work in group. Let's go through the main activities you can be involved in.

This list will show what can be considered as a "curricular activity".

1.Church activities. It can be an organizing of a summer camp, or some sports sponsored by the church.

2.Interest Clubs. Here you can talk about your hobbies with your like-minded persons. For example: playing chess, debating, watching movies and discussing them, perform some plays, speak foreign languages.

3.Arts. While this activities you can show your talents like photography, painting, design.

4.Media. It's easy to be a star here. You can be involved in local television or radio, online journals, making movies with friends.

5.Military. Boy or girl scouts, junior ROTC.

6.Volunteer  activities. Here you could be a nurse, rescue animals, work in the fire department, creating a hiking trip tropes and other work that is not paid but makes the life of people better.

7.Music activities where you can play in band or in the orchestra your favorite music, or sing in chorus or make your solo.

All this things can be done in group or by your own. All of them created to enrich your life, to broad your horizons, to teach you to help people, to be individual. You can choose everything you want but be serious in this case, because it requires work and insistence to do your best in any field.

What are some good hobby ideas?

I'm looking for a hobby because I've been spending most of my time on the computer and watching TV. I looked at a couple ideas but none really appealed to me. My friend works with aluminum and he's made necklaces and even chain mails and I think it sounds fun but I wouldn't have the patience. So I have two question here.

1) What are some good cheap hobbies? It would help if it involved being active but it's fine if it doesn't.

2) What hobbies does everyone like?

Thanks in advance.

Well, I don't know if this would appeal to you, but since you don't have patience for anything that isn't stimulating (computer + T.V.) I would suggest that you pick up a hobby that not only gives you an end product (aluminum molding...) but gives you immediate results (I.E. something to look at and doesn't take long to get part way through). You could start making paper planes, and then start making them more complicated until you get some more patience or...
You could make videos. I know this sounds exactly like youtube, cous it is. Videos are short, and you can make scripts if you want or improve. Basing it off what you've seen and done (screen...) you have some familiarity. Editing on the computer and watching them isn't a great start, but its a start.
